you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, exhausted and tired, like you’re perpetually running on a treadmill.

Whew! I’ve been there. In fact, I spent the majority of my life in that incredibly exhausting place. It’s full of living your life as you’re expected to, letting others make decisions for you, saying yes when you mean no, putting your self and well being last, making choices that don’t really jive with your values because you’re afraid not to, making sure no one finds out you really can’t do it all and being stuck in a perpetual cycle of keeping up - doing The Next Thing - and wishing for something different.


you’re carrying around loads of shame, guilt and not-enough-ness about all sorts of things.

You’re probably pretty good at covering it up, but this is what’s under all that exhaustion. You secretly believe you’re not enough, not worth it, you should be doing more and, any minute now, someone’s going to find out.

you desperately want to change your life: career, body, relationships, habits, health.

Maybe you don’t know what you do want, you just know it isn’t this. A feeling of desperation in one or more of these areas comes and goes - occasionally you try to do something about it, but mostly you’re just walking around feeling muddled, confused, anxious, dissatisfied and not enough.

you’ve tried, but nothing ever seems to stick.

All that desperation and anxiety (yep, I know what that’s like too…), scatters your energy and resources. You make well intentioned but half hearted attempts to do it different. “This time, really this time, I’ll make a change.” You’re acting and reacting without really being clear on what’s going on inside or what you truly desire for the outside. The concepts of true self, authenthic life and conscious, purposeful living seem as comprehensible as Greek, as accessible as a pipe dream or just freak you out entirely.

you kinda know that you keep making the same choices in different situations and it’s getting you the same results.

Funny how that works. Turns out, you’re going to have to start making some different choices and even changing the way you think about things. I promise it’s not nearly as difficult or scary as it sounds. And remember, that thing you’ve been doing? It wasn’t working.

on top of (or under) all that, you’re a Pretty Human Being.

You are vibrant, creative, curious, willing, smart and generally one positive cookie. You have a (slightly off-kilter) sense of humor, don’t take life too terribly seriously, think outside the box and like the idea of challenging social norms. You value growth, kindness and compassion and want to live a conscious, purposeful life. The idea of a New Way of Being resonates with you, even if you also think it sounds funny and vaguely cult-ish.
